Electrification of Linha do Douro - Vila Meã

Description

Construction of micropiles for the foundation of four overhead catenary masts near the Vila Meã station, for the contract Electrification of Linha do Douro, Caíde - Marco section.
The need to install catenary masts on top of a slope forced the use of indirect foundations in order to transmit the efforts of the masts to the base of the slope. Since this is an area of difficult access and the need for night work with a free railway track during the day for trains movement, the execution of micropiles with a light equipment proved to be the best solution to this problem.
